Katherine "Kay" Creech

Katherine (Kay) Kinsler Creech 57, born February 20, 1965 passed away March 30, 2022 after a courageous, hard-fought battle with cancer. Kay was tenacious in her fight with cancer but she never let it define her. Kay accepted Jesus Christ as her savior when she was 12 years old, was never shy about her faith, and was a member of First Baptist Church Morristown. Spending 25 years as an educator, Kay had a passion for children and touched the lives of countless students. She loved teaching and missed the classroom after her failing health no longer permitted her to teach. Throughout her teaching career Kay made many life-long friends with her teaching colleagues that remained until her death. Kay was a life-long lover of all animals domestic and wild and was known to foster numerous strays until she could find them a good home. Kay enjoyed traveling and loved exploring new places, her all-time favorite adventure was going to Israel and the Holy Land with her husband, church friends and pastor. Kay loved her family and cherished time spent with them be it a Sunday afternoon dinner or a family vacation which was always the high-light of her summers.

Kay was preceded in death by her grandparents John & Ola Moore and Grace Kinsler, Aunts Anne Harville and Carol Waddell.

Kay is survived by her husband Mark Creech, parents Jerry and Nancy Kinsler, sister Khris (Lester) Morelock, father and mother-in-law Bill & Frances Creech, brother and sister-in-law Derek and Angie Creech, nephews whom she loved like her own Aubrey & Avery Morelock and nieces Abbie, Kailie, and Lacie Creech as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Receiving of friends will be Saturday, April 2nd Noon until 2:00 pm at Allen Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm at Allen Funeral Home with Dr. Lester Morelock (Kay’s brother-in-law) officiating, and grave side services immediately following the funeral at Bethesda Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Timothy Initiative, C/O First Baptist Church, 504 W Main St, Morristown, TN 37814. This charity was dear to Kay’s heart due to the fact that it plants new churches all across the world.

Allen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

February 20, 1965 - March 30, 202202/20/196503/30/2022

I had the privilege of playing volleyball with Kay at Morristown East High. She had one of the toughest serves of any player. There will never be a sweeter, nicer person in this world! All who knew her loved her. She will be terribly missed. . Gina Coffey
