<p>Anthony T. McDonnell, age 62, of Quincy passed away March 28<sup>th</sup> after a brief illness.&nbsp; Born in Boston, he was raised in St. Peter&rsquo;s Parish of Dorchester and graduated from Sacred Heart School in Weymouth.&nbsp; He worked as a self-employed property owner and manager for many years.&nbsp; Tony was a member of the Quincy Elks, Knights of Columbus in Quincy, and he enjoyed spending time at the Quincy American Legion Morrisette Post and Sons of Italy in Quincy.&nbsp; He also enjoyed boating and spending time at his cottage in Wareham.&nbsp;</p> <p>Son of the late James and Mary McDonnell.&nbsp; Beloved husband of Arlene J. McDonnell (Simpson).&nbsp; Brother of Maureen McDonnell of Hull and James McDonnell of Breezewood, PA.&nbsp; Stepfather of Lea Saari of FL, Raeann Saari of Milton, and Julie Saari of Bridgewater.&nbsp; Uncle of Ashley McDonnell of Breezewood, PA.&nbsp; Great Uncle of Caroline and Great Uncle and Godfather of Liam.&nbsp; Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.&nbsp; Funeral Mass at St. Ann Church Quincy Monday at 12:00 noon.&nbsp; Burial New Calvary Cemetery.&nbsp; Donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children&rsquo;s Hospital at <a href="http://www.stjude.org/">www.stjude.org</a> or to the Boston Shriner&rsquo;s Children&rsquo;s Hospital at <a href="http://www.shrinerschildrens.org/">www.shrinerschildrens.org</a> .&nbsp;</p>
