Obituary
David A Miller, age 68, of Berlin, Ohio passed away Sunday morning, March 27, 2022 at LifeCare Hospice, Wooster, Ohio surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 1st at Berlin Mennonite Church with pastors, Jeff Hochstetler and Ernie Hershberger officiating. Burial will take place 1 p.m. Friday at Berlin Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 31st at Berlin Mennonite Church. David was born March 12, 1954 in Millersburg, Ohio and was the son of Atlee D and Mary (Beachy) Miller. On October 22, 1976 he married Linda Stutzman, and she survives.
David started working for Schrock's of Walnut Creek at the age of 15. He worked as a wood finisher for most of his life in both Ohio and Arizona. He was a member of the Berlin Mennonite Church where he was the church historian, served as elder, was a Sunday school teacher and while in Arizona, served in the music department. He was an avid reader, loved listening to country and gospel music, was a history buff, enjoyed genealogy and loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Linda are three children and their spouses, David Lynn (Deborah) Miller of St. Louis, MO, Jesse Allen (Lisa) Miller of Walnut Creek, OH, and Carrie Anne (Michael) Murtaugh of Navarre, OH; three grandchildren, Theoden Wright Murtaugh, Gabrael Max Miller and Charlotte Rose Miller; siblings, Paul (Barbara Ann) Miller of Walnut Creek, OH, Daniel (Mae) Miller of Trail, OH, Naomi (Roy) Hershberger Jr. of Berlin, OH, Ruth (Dave) Miller of Millersburg, OH, Rebecca (Dave) Yoder of Wilmot, OH, Christina (Roy) Miller Jr. of Mt. Eaton, OH, Marianna (Dean) Wengerd of Chuckey, TN, and Barbara (Duane) Schlabach of Monticello, KY; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and his father-in-law, Loil Stutzman of Berlin, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Sylvia Stutzman; and stillborn brother, Steven.
The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to Life Care Hospice for the love, care, and support that was given to David over the past few days.
