<p>Christopher Matthew Kern, age 33, of Calumet Township, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, March 25th, 2022. Chris is survived by his father, Craig Kern (Melisa) and mother, Rachelle Randle (Elijah), his brothers; Samuel (Amanda) Kern, Wesley Kern (Brittany Horwath) &amp; Jackson Kern, his sisters; Emily (Brent) Cowan &amp; Makaeh &quot;Rowena&quot; Cupp-Owens, his step-brothers; Tony (Taylor) Hoff &amp; Austin Merchant&nbsp;and his step-sister, Kalie (Dennis) Jashenski. He is also survived by his grandparents; Gene &amp; Rose Surber of Spring Hill, KS and Dave &amp; Wanda Owens of Lakeland, FL. He also leaves his nieces; Declynn, Kya, Riley &amp; Emma and nephews; Wyatt, Ezra, Lexington &amp;&nbsp;Waylon. He has many aunts and uncles, cousins, lifelong friends, new friends and his brotherhood that will also greatly miss him.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p> <p>Chris was born on Monday, December 26th, 1988 in Olathe, Kansas and grew up in Spring Hill, Kansas. He graduated from Spring Hill High School in 2007. He had a great childhood! He played football, baseball and basketball. He wrestled, bowled and played golf. He even recently made a hole-in-one. He loved participating in and watching all sports. He later attended Pittsburg State University and furthered his education and career with the Boilermakers from Local 374.</p> <p>Chris had recently purchased his first home. He was very proud of his house and was excited to host many celebrations and pool parties soon. Chris was also looking forward to attending the KU/Providence game in Chicago with his dad the day he passed.&nbsp;</p> <p>Chris knew how to have fun. He touched the lives of everyone he met from the day he was born until the day he passed. He laughed often and we will all miss that laugh. Christopher Matthew Kern, age 33, of Calumet Township, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, March 25th, 2022.
