Mr. James Edward “Eddie” Deason, Jr., 60 formerly of Tignall entered into rest on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Doctors Hospital, Augusta.

Mr. Deason was born on December 5, 1961 in Washington, Ga. He grew up in Lincolnton, Ga. and graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1979.  For many years, he has resided in Tignall, Ga. where he was a member of Tignall Baptist Church and had been employed as a line worker for Pilgrim’s Pride in Elberton.  Like his father, he loved music and preferred vinyl records and reel to reel tapes.

He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Deason; mother, Mary Frances Mayson Deason of Lincolnton; sister, Betty Frances “Fran” Deason of Lincolnton and brother, Richard Deason and wife Christine of Saluda, SC; niece and nephews, Matthew Deason and Kara Deason; caregiver, Faye Butler. His father, James Edward Deason, Sr. preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 2pm at Lincolnton Baptist Church with interment following in the Lincolnton City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
