Norma Isabel Donchevsky Obituary

Norma Isabel Donchevsky, 99, of Whiting, NJ, passed away on March 21, 2022. Born in Bayonne, NJ, she lived many years in Colonia before settling in Whiting. She proudly served her country in the United States Air Force as a Corporal during World War II from 1943-1945 stationed at Stewart Airfield in New York. Norma’s job was to document missions and training for cadets and officers. She spent many of her days fling to California, Canada, Mexico, as well as many other places.   She was a dedicated member of the Faith Community Church and choir and a member of the V.F.W. in Forked River. Norma cherished time spent with her family and especially her grandchildren.

 

Predeceased by her husband William in 2003. Also, by her son Paul in 2009.

 

Surviving are her daughter Denise Carvalho and her husband Dave, her three grandchildren: David Carvalho Jr. and his wife Karen of Lithia, FL, Dana Vannella and her husband Joseph of Bayville and Daniel Carvalho and his wife Mindy of Bayville, and 10 great grandchildren.

 

Services for Norma are going to be held on Monday, March 28, 2022, from 4pm-8pm with a prayer service at 7:30pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd, Bayville, NJ 08721. The funeral will be on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, meeting at the funeral home at 9am with a burial at 11am to follow at B.G.W.C.D. Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations in Norma’s name to Faith Community Methodist Church or The Popcorn Park Zoo would be greatly appreciated.
