Harold Spencer Gough, age 78, of Taylor, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. He was born on June 2, 1943, in Elizabethtown, New York to T. Aubrey and Clara (Edmonds) Gough.
Harold was an avid outdoorsman and many times you could find him outside doing yard work or just sitting in his chair enjoying a cool breeze. Having worked as a mechanic for many years, he often could be found tinkering on an old car or truck. Harold loved spending time with his family and was a wonderful father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Gough, and his great-grandchildren, Stephanie Grimes, Brycen Hicks, and Baby Proper.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Jackie Gough; daughters, Sylvia Hicks (Chad) and Susan Laraway (Clifford); sister, Sylvia Ramm; brother, David Gough; grandchildren, Cameron Hicks (Dana), Westley Hicks (Kristi), Ethan Hicks (Felicity), Sarah Leprell (Josh), April Vandamark (Paul), Christopher Proper (Britany), Deforest Lamont (Jessika), Brianna Proper, Aubrey Laraway, and Clifford Laraway III; great-grandchildren, McKenzie Hicks, Cayden Hicks, Maylee Leprell, Jonah Leprell, Abigail Hicks, Ariel Hicks, Justin Hicks, Brentley Mullins, Autumn Lamont, Deforest Lamont, Alayna Proper and Nathan Proper. 
Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Rock Solid Church, 334 Union Street, Hudson, NY 12534. A private family graveside service will follow.
