Jimmy Ray Poole

Jimmy Poole, 54, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 22, 2017. Jimmy was born on December 28, 1962 in Ohio. Later he and his family moved to Knoxville, Tennessee where he graduated from Karns High School in 1981. Following high school Jimmy moved to Middle Georgia, which became home to him. He worked at Boeing for many years as a mechanic and later as a machine lead. Jimmy was a loving husband, father and grandfather who adored spending time with his family. His grandchildren were his world. His mother, Clara Rose Foster and sister, Rhonda Poole Hooker, preceded him in death. His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 25 years, Donna Ethridge Poole of Byron; children, Chad Smith (Chasity) of Byron; Kristen Smith of Warner Robins; Ryan Poole (Brianne) of Kathleen; Jessica Poole (Parris) of Hinesville; Aybrian Smith of Byron; grandchildren, Johnathan Smith; Grayson Smith; Landon Smith; Cayden Pacheco; Hunter Poole; Oliver Poole; father, James Poole; siblings, Donna Poole (Rhonda Sweatt); Brenda Bruno (Steven); Cynthia Bradley (Richard) and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation with Jimmy's family will be Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 in the Chapel of McCullough. Following the service, Jimmy will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
