<p>Juanita L. Olivarez Ortiz, 79, passed away March 22, 2022, in Lubbock, TX.&nbsp; Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Hamlin Church of Nazarene. Visitation will be at 5:00 pm Sunday, March 27, 2022, at Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Hamlin Memorial Cemetery, directed by Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home.</p> <p>Born December 8, 1942, in Corpus Christi, Juanita was the daughter of the late Leandro and Ofelia (Gonzalez) Longoria.&nbsp; Juanita was a homemaker, and she loved sharing her amazing cooking with anyone who would let her feed them. Ask anyone she knew, and they will tell you her tamales were the best. She had a big loving heart and kind soul. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and she could light up a room with her jokes and laughter. Juanita was a talented painter and loved to draw.&nbsp; She was a godly woman, read her Bible and quoted scripture daily. Juanita will be dearly missed by many, but she will forever be our Queen of Spain.</p> <p>Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, husband and six siblings.&nbsp;</p> <p>Survivors include her children, Terry Olivarez, Roy Olivarez (Josie), Diana Olivarez-Mills(Bryan), Cecilio Olivarez(Rosa), Magdalena Olivarez, Andy Olivarez(Diana), Thomas Olivarez, Alex Olivarez(Melissa), Jesse Ortiz(Crystal), Joe Ortiz(Cindy), and one grandson she raised as her own, Andrew Olivarez(Taylor); four siblings; and thirty-seven grandchildren; one hundred one great-grandchildren; twenty-five great-great-grandchildren with two on the way; and several nieces and nephews.</p>
