Edward L. Schnalzer Obituary

Edward L. Schnalzer, 92, of Bethlehem, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family in Saucon Valley.  He was the husband of Dolores T. Schnalzer (nee Davenport) who passed away March 8, 2011.  Born November 19, 1929, he was the son of the late John and Cecelia (Schlener) Schnalzer.  Ed served his country in the United States Navy for four years, 1948-1952 on the U.S.S. Gearing, U.S.S.-710 as an electrician and shore patrol.  Ed worked as a high tension Electrician for the Bethlehem Steel where he later retired.  He loved golf and played several times a week for many years.  Ed belonged to the By-pass golf league in Bethlehem. 
 
Survivors: He is survived by three sons David, Ronald and wife Megan, Kevin and wife Rosemarie along with 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
 
Services: A Requiem of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday March 29, 2022 in St. Stephen of Hungary Catholic Church, 510 W. Union St. Allentown, PA 18101, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. in the vestibule of the church.   Burial with military honors will take place at Nisky Hill Cemetery.  Ed’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Cantelmi Funeral Home, Fountain Hill.  A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com
 
Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church.
