Manuel R Mota

Manuel R Mota, 72 of New Bedford, passed away at home on March 23, 2022. Born in Sao Miguel, Portugal, he was the son of the late Manuel Timoteo and Emilia (Rodrigues) Timoteo and husband of Lucia (Pimentel) Mota. Manuel was a jack of all trades spending most of his time working as a roofer. He was a communicant of St. Joseph's & St. Therese before it closed. Manuel enjoyed spending time with his many grandchildren and playing cards. Manuel was a proud veteran of the Portuguese Army and fought in Angola, Africa. He is survived by his wife; sons, Manuel Mota Jr, Matthew Mota, David Mota, Daniel Mota, Jason Mota; daughters, Christina Mota, Elena Mota, Julianne Mota; brother, Jose Timoteo; sisters, Maria Silveira, Conceicao Rosa, Filomena Matias; Grandchildren, Raylynn, Layla, Jason, Alexis, Paul Jr, Damien, Danica, Rylee, Mazie, Abel, Millie; great grandchildren, Aiden, Liam and many nieces and nephews. Manuel is preceded in death by his son Paul Mota, grandson, Tristan Mota and brother John Mota. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 10am at St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the Boulevard Funeral Home, 223 Ashley Blvd on Monday, March 28, 2022 from 4-7pm.
