Amy Leeann Martinez

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 25, 2022 at Ballard Funeral Home for Amy LeeAnn Martinez, 31, who passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022 in Las Cruces surrounded by the love of her family. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Amy was born on March 12, 1991 to Daniel and Anna Martinez in Roswell, NM, her mother preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her sister Adrian; Grandpa Eugenio; prima Savannah; aunt Terri; uncle Buddy and best friend Salvador.

After high school Amy spent all of her time fighting with her kidneys. At home she was an Auntie, and artist and to some a best friend. If you ever told Amy a secret, she kept it and took it with her. Amy had her favorite people and she had some she where she’d “rather not” as she would say. She had lots of friends too many to name each, one knows who they are. Taking care of her nephew became her focus after her sister passed away, it was a very difficult situations, but she overcame many obstacles with pride. Amy was part of the “Cool Club” where there is always pretty nails and no filters. If she had an issue she would call you up, she spent a lot of time on her phone that was her window to the world. She will be missed by all of us, she left a deep impression on everyone she met, unforgettable. If you had the privilege to know her in your life if ever for a hospital visit, it was memorable, take it as it was.

Those left to cherish her memory are her father Daniel Martinez; God daughter Iris Mikalla Lynn; siblings Eric and Destiny; nephews Angelo and Eric; niece Meeka and many aunts and uncles. Those also left to carry on her memory until they meet again are Matthew, Stephanie, Gena, Missy, Amanda and Crystal, we will go thru life trying not to cry when we think of you!
