Catherine (Naphier) Baker, 60, of Altoona, passed away Monday at her residence after an extended illness. She was born in Americus, Ga., a daughter of the late James Arthur Sr. and Helen (Johnson) Naphier. Catherine was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving are her son, Dante Naphier of Smyrna, Del.; her mother, of Altoona; siblings, James Jr. and Clarence, both of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Helen D. and Curtis J. Naphier, both of Dover, Del. Catherine was preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Ann and Cindy Ann Naphier.

 There will be no visitation or service. Arrangements are by Jones Funeral Home, Altoona.
