Carolyn Moore, age 86 of Crestview, FL, formerly of Dayton and Troy Ohio, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Crestview Rehabilitation Center in Crestview, FL. She was born on September 29, 1935 in Troy to the late Hugh and Lucille (nee Keelum) Wheat.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by her brothers, Sidney, David and Lowndes Wheat; and sister, Sylvia Wheat.

Those left to cherish Carolyn’s memory include her sons, Blair (Bernadette Verzosa) Mintz of Houston, TX, Kevin (Robbie) Moore of Bastrop, TX, and Leon (Denise) Moore of Hampton, VA; daughters, Terry (Ned) Germany of Akron, OH and Dawn (Kenneth) Wilson of Crestview, FL; grandchildren, Kendra Brownlee of Niceville, FL, Tiera Wade of Akron, OH, Nyeeda Beachman of Akron, OH, Ryan Germany of Akron, OH, Alexander Moore of Hampton, VA, Cedric Scott of Boykins, VA, Sasha Mintz of Houston, TX, Ashley Charles of Houston, TX, Samuel Montgomery, Nathan Montgomery, Emma Montgomery, and Matthew Montgomery; great grandchildren, Tatiana Germany Gary of Akron, OH, Nia Oliver of Akron, OH, Caleb Brownlee of Niceville, FL, Zoe Brownlee  Niceville, FL, Ryan Germany of Akron, OH, Noah Germany of Akron, OH, and Christina Wade of Akron, OH; brother, Hugh (Nancy) Wheat and their daughter Amanda of Tampa, FL.

Carolyn graduated from Troy High School and went on to receive her Bachelors Degree of Education from Kent State University. She was a retired minister.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Transformed Life Church, 421 Wood St., Piqua, OH with Pastor Brian Hamilton officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 AM-11 AM at the church. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
