<p>It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Joyce Marie Walters Esch VanNess of Levelland on March 17, 2022. Joyce was in her 81st year.</p> <p>Joyce was born in Senatobia, MS on March 5, 1941 to the late Johnnie &amp; Ruby Walters. She graduated high school in Levelland. Joyce worked for many years as an award-winning representative for Mary Kay and saleswoman for National Farm Life Insurance Company as well as owning a successful business, VanNess Sales &amp; Bookkeeping in Levelland.</p> <p>Joyce was preceded in death by her husband James Esch in 1981 and recently, by her husband Jarl VanNess whom she married in 1986. Loving mother to James Duane Esch of Denver City and Robby Esch of Carrollton as well as step-mother to Jencey VanNess and Coy VanNess. Proud &quot;Nanny&quot; to grandchildren Dustin VanNess, Ashlee Sehon, Caydn VanNess, Raven Crenshaw, Jada Esch, Cory Esch &amp; Brett Esch as well as to great-grandchildren Matthew Bush and Breelan Sehon.</p> <p>Joyce had four sisters whom she loved and cared for deeply; she is survived by Helen Camp of San Antonio and preceded in death by Lilly Huddleston, Thema Williams and Louise Daniels Jennings. She was also Aunt Joyce to numerous and dearly loved nieces and nephews.</p> <p>Joyce&#39;s life will be celebrated by family and friends at 10:30 am on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 13th &amp; K Church of Christ in Levelland. For those who wish to make memorial donations, they may be made to the New Mexico Children&#39;s Home in Portales, NM at&nbsp;www.nmcch.org/donate.</p>
