John I. Dietrich II, 78, of Tiltonsville, OH, passed away, Monday, March 21, 2022, at Wheeling Hospital.

He was born on November 11, 1943, in Wheeling, WV, to the late John and Dorothy (Marsh) Dietrich.

John served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a former employee of Ohio Ferro Alloy Corporation for 17 years. He later retired from AEP Cardinal Plant with 27 years of service. He was a life member of the Volunteer Tiltonsville Fire Department, a life member of American Legion Dillonvale,  a  member of the Masonic Lodge 181, Bridgeport, OH, Weyer Chapter O.E.S., 515, Scottish Rite and a member of the Tiltonsville United Methodist Church.

John is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley (Phillips) Dietrich; two boys, John Dietrich III (Cindy)and James R. Dietrich (Melissa) and four grandchildren, John (Maria), Joshua (Cara), Jessica and Amanda (Craig) and a great-granddaughter, Aerial. 

Friends will be received to pay tribute to John and celebrate his life on Sunday, March 27th, from 2-4 & 7-9, at the Borkoski Funeral home, Tiltonsville, OH, with Masonic services at 3 pm and Fire Department services at 7 pm, and on Monday, 11 am until the time of service of 12 noon, with Pastor Kevin Dougherty.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Tiltonsville Volunteer Fire Department in John's name.
