<p>Phyllis J. Usko, age 91 of Elizabeth Township and&nbsp;formerly of Glassport, transitioned peacefully at home from this life to her eternal reward on Sunday, March 20, 2022.&nbsp; She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Paul J. Usko, Jr.;&nbsp;her parents, George and Helen (Harchar) Grivna;&nbsp;and her brother, Lawrence F. Grivna.&nbsp; Phyllis leaves behind her beloved daughter and caregiver&nbsp;Sherri Lynne, also of Elizabeth Township; her adored soon-to-be son in law&nbsp;Gregg A. Green of Squirrel Hill; her &ldquo;sis&rdquo; in law and best friend Shirley Usko (Herman Lieb) Hornfeck of Jamestown; her nieces, Ellen (William) Fagan of Brookline and Lee Ann (Jeff) Berkey of Southport, NC; her great niece, Kristin Fagan of Brookline; her &ldquo;grandkitty&rdquo; Polly; as well as numerous cousins and friends.&nbsp; Phyllis was the salutatorian of the Glassport High School Class of 1948.&nbsp; She and her husband were high school sweethearts.&nbsp; She worked for 21 years as a payroll supervisor for the G.C. Murphy Company corporate offices in McKeesport, before assuming the role of stay-at-home mother to her long awaited only child.&nbsp; She was a devout Catholic and was a member first of Holy Trinity in McKeesport, and then of Sts.&nbsp;Joaquim and Anne Roman Catholic Church in Elizabeth Township.&nbsp; She was also a member of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association, the Highlander Ladies Bowling League for which she served as secretary on multiple occasions, and was a volunteer at Baldwin Health Center.&nbsp; Her hobbies included watching the Pittsburgh Penguins and happy movies on the Hallmark Channel, crossword puzzles, and spending as much time as she could with her daughter.&nbsp; As per Phyllis&rsquo; wishes, there will be no funeral visitation.&nbsp; A Mass of Christian burial at Sts. Joaquim and Anne Roman Catholic Church, on Wednesday March 23, 2022 at 10 AM&nbsp;with Rev. Thomas Wagner officiating. Interment at Round Hill Cemetery will be held privately.&nbsp; For extended family and friends, there will be a Memorial Celebration of Life held at a future date in the chapel of the Sisters of the Divine Redeemer in Elizabeth, PA; those interested in attending the Celebration may contact her daughter for the date and details.&nbsp; Memorial contributions in Phyllis&rsquo; name may be gifted to the Sisters of the Divine Redeemer,&nbsp;999 Rock Run Road, Elizabeth, PA, 15037&nbsp;or to the home hospice organization of your choice.&nbsp; Arrangements were gently and graciously handled by A. J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

Phyllis J. Usko, age 91 of Elizabeth Township and formerly of Glassport, transitioned peacefully at home from this life to her eternal reward on Sunday, March 20, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Paul J. Usko, Jr.; her parents, George and Helen (Harchar) Grivna; and her brother, Lawrence F. Grivna.  Phyllis leaves behind her beloved daughter and caregiver Sherri Lynne, also of Elizabeth Township; her adored soon-to-be son in law Gregg A. Green of Squirrel Hill; her “sis” in law and best friend Shirley Usko (Herman Lieb) Hornfeck of Jamestown; her nieces, Ellen (William) Fagan of Brookline and Lee Ann (Jeff) Berkey of Southport, NC; her great niece, Kristin Fagan of Brookline; her “grandkitty” Polly; as well as numerous cousins and friends.  Phyllis was the salutatorian of the Glassport High School Class of 1948.  She and her husband were high school sweethearts.  She worked for 21 years as a payroll supervisor for the G.C.
