Jeanne Rowe

Jeanne Rowe, 91, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, March 19, 2022. A private family service will be held with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery in Fredericksburg, Iowa. A public visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home. She was born September 15, 1930 in New Hampton, IA. She is the daughter of Harold and Hazel (Green) Pietan. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, and graduated from New Hampton High School in 1948. She was married to Lowell Rowe on November 27, 1948 and they made their home together in Fredericksburg, IA. They moved to Charles City in 1972. They had six children: Lola Fouts, Sheila Connerley, Karen (Julio) Bibian, Michael Rowe, Sherri (Ron) Matte, and Terry (Laurie) Rowe. She will be remembered most for the love she shared with her family, friends, and neighbors; she always found the best in everyone. Her favorite quote was, “Do unto others as you want others to do unto you.” She had a love for cooking and being with family; all will miss her pumpkin bread and her carrot bars. She also loved playing cards, especially euchre with groups around town. She had a heart of gold that will truly be missed by everyone who got the chance to know and love her. She is survived by five of her children; fourteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; her brother Norbert and wife Pat Pietan; and several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lola in Feb. 2022; husband, Lowell in 1976; Donald Koebrick Sr. in 1988; grandsons: Timmy Rowe and Nicolas, Christopher, and David Arellano; her parents; brother, Clendon Pietan; and sisters, Aurelia Schaudenecker and Mona Wright.
