Middletown…Ronald H. Clapp, 93, resident of Middletown passed away March 20, 2022 at Middletown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Middletown.

He was born in New Castle, Indiana, December 11, 1928 the son of James Mitchell and Mary Alwilda “Chuck” Bath Clapp. He was a 1947 graduate of Cadiz High School and retired from Delco Remy in Anderson in 1982 after 30 years of service.

He had attended the Clear Springs Friends Church and enjoyed basketball and golf.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Claude Edwin and James Edward Clapp and a nephew John Clapp.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years Nila Christine (Riggs) of Middletown and a son Michael Edwin Clapp of Scipio, IN , 1 nephew Gary Clapp of Indianapolis, 3 grandchildren: Bryan Messick, Matthew Clapp and Jason Clapp and 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown.  Burial will follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.

Friends may call on Wednesday from noon until the time of the service.

Memorials may be made to the Middletown Fall Creek Township Fire Department, Middletown EMS or the Cadiz Christian Church.
