Frank Raymond Dolgner Obituary

Frank Raymond Dolgner of North Pole, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loved ones on March 17th, 2022.  He was born on July 25th, 1944, in Pardeeville, Wisconsin.  He grew up on a dairy farm working side by side with his parents.  He proudly served in the Unites States Army where he was stationed at Fort Bliss.  After Fort Bliss, he was stationed in Korea.  When his time with the United States Army came to an end, he got a position at Clear Air Force Base and worked as an Electronic Technician. Frank worked on the Alaska pipeline and Gilmore Creek for a period of time.  He returned to Clear Air Force Base until his retirement.

Frank was an avid outdoorsman, and a true Alaskan sourdough.  He spent his time exploring everything Alaska has to offer.  He was an experienced and knowledgeable rock collector.  He was an Alaskan bush pilot.  He enjoyed camping at his favorite campground, Liberty Falls and Dip netting on the Copper River.  He also enjoyed rafting with his children and grandchildren.  He was an experienced wild game hunter and has hunted in many remote Alaskan locations.

Frank loved his wife dearly and she went on many of his outdoor adventures.  He shared his love for the outdoors with all his children and grandchildren.  The love that he had for his family was unparalleled.

He is survived by his wife, Hope.  His son, Scott Fidel, and wife Renee of North Pole.  His loving daughter Rebecca Dolgner of Fairbanks.  His Grandson, Josh Fidel (Laura) of Kelowna Canada.  His loving granddaughter Heather Fidel Zepp (Ryan) of Palmer.  His Grandson Evan Murphy (Madi) of Reno NV.  He is survived by his great grandchildren Orion Fidel, Ella, and Rowan Zepp (Heather) Noah and McKinley (Josh).  In addition, he is survived by his loving cousin Gary Dolgner (Sherri) of Fairbanks and his brother Eugene Dolgner of Indiana.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John, and Shirley Dolgner.

The Dolgner Family would like to also like to give a huge thank you to the nurses from Hospice Care for being so compassionate and loving.
