Bro. James Edward "Ed" Lindsey
1940 - 2022
Bro. James Edward “Ed” Lindsey, age 81 of Smiths Grove , passed away on Wednesday March 16, 2022 at Greenview Regional Hospital. The Edmonson County native was born on July 20, 1940 to the late Garfield and Georgia Ethelene Norris Lindsey. He was married for fifty-one years to the late Faye Jaggers Lindsey.
Bro. Ed was a self-employed carpenter. He was the pastor of Liberty Hill “Dripping Springs” Missionary Baptist Church for forty-two years and remained a faithful member until his passing.
He leaves to honor his memory — two daughters, Deborah Miller (Steve) of Brownsville and Linda Bohannon (Thomas) of Bowling Green; two sons, Jimmy Lindsey (Paula) of Alvaton and Ronnie Lindsey (Jennifer) of Smiths Grove; seven grandchildren, Stephen Miller (Lindsey), Lindsey Bohannon, Logan Vincent, Chasz Bohannon (Elizabeth), Heather LaMastus (Jake), Brandi Lindsey and Katie Lindsey; seven great-grandchildren, S.J. Miller, Aria Vincent, Ben Miller, Heath Sanders, Casper Vincent, Annie Fayeth Miller, Banks Bohannon; five siblings, Evon Davis, Marie Burns, Lowell Lindsey, Noel Lindsey and Eva York along with several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother, John Lindsey and two sisters, Leta Whitman and Alpha Donaldson.
