Kathryn Mary “Kathy” Bezanson, age 80, of Geneva, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born August 7, 1941 in Aurora, Illinois the daughter of Clarence and Evelyn (Fritsch) Andrews.
Kathy grew up in Aurora and graduated from East Aurora High School in 1959. She married William Paul Bezanson on August 30, 1963. She retired from Burgess Norton and traveled and volunteered with her husband until 2015. They loved working at African Inland Mission at the Retirement Center and at Alton Bay Christian Conference Center working on the campground. They traveled with the SOWERS ministry helping out at Christian Colleges and Camps.
She is survived by her children Bill Bezanson of Richmond, Maine, Mary (John) Soto of Elburn, Illinois, Annette Bezanson of North Aurora, Illinois; sisters Jean (Ray) Lippold of Batavia, Illinois and Linda (Leo) Mueller of Sheffield, Illinois; grandchildren Ashley (Quentin) Rice, Austin (Ashley) Soto, Joshua (Kalene) Soto, Caleb (Lily) Soto, Elijah Bezanson, Isaiah Bezanson; great-grandchildren Trystin Jenkins, Takara Jenkins, Katerina Rice, Natalia Rice, Draco Soto, Josephine Soto, William Soto, Sadie Soto, and Luther Soto; and many other dear relatives and friends.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Services will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Chapelstreet Church, 2300 South Street, Geneva, Illinois. A dessert reception will follow.
