Shirley A. (Walther) Lieber

Shirley A. (Walther) Lieber, 87, of Lanesville, died Monday, March 14, 2022, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana.  She was born February 8, 1935, in Lanesville, to the late Gustav and Elma (Ott) Walther.  She was a lifelong resident of Lanesville, and was a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church near Lanesville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, William A. Lieber; her son, Joey E. Lieber; her grandson, Tate P. Lieber; and her sisters, Dorothy Hussung and Imogene Hussung.

Survivors include her sons, Tim W. Lieber of Cincinnati, Ohio and Tom P. Lieber (Tammy) of Lanesville; her daughter, Krista S. Lieber of Lanesville; her grandchildren, Patrick Lieber (Jessica), Paige Wood (Matt), Tana Thompson (Levi), Brittany Cody (Billy), Kayla Lieber, Anthony Lieber (Alisa), Gregory Lieber (Meredith), Audrey Munford, and Aiden Lieber; and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2022, at St. John’s Lutheran Church near Lanesville.  Pastor Mark Carnahan will officiate.  Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Monday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Lieber, Anthony Lieber, Gregory Lieber, Aiden Lieber, Matt Wood, Levi Thompson, and Billy Cody.
