Lucy White Obituary

Lucy White, 91, of Battiest, Oklahoma went to her heavenly home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus on Monday, March 14, 2022 at the Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  She was born on November 25, 1930 to Ensie Watson in Battiest, Oklahoma. 

Lucy was a proud Choctaw woman and loved her heritage and her culture and was an Elder of the Choctaw Nation.  Lucy attended Mt. Zion Indian School until the 7th grade then attended Battiest School.  She loved to read her Bible and was a member of the Battiest Baptist Church. Lucy loved spending time with her family and raising her pride and joy, Jimmy Dale Billy. She loved to go to yard sales, going to singings and her church. Some of Lucy's hobbies included doing crosswords, painting her fingernails and going on as many Choctaw Senior Citizens trips as she could.  Lucy was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend and will be missed and loved by all who knew her. 

Lucy was preceded in death by her mother, Ensie Watson her husband, Louis Billy; her children, JR Billy, James Billy, Henry Billy, David Billy, Elvis Billy, Larry Billy, Linda Willis, Alice Jean Steel, Alice Marie Davis, Loretta Billy and Diane Billy; one brother, Jimmy Dale; three sisters, Ora Caruth, Daisy Watson and Marie Baker.

Lucy is survived by her son, Kenneth Billy of Battiest, Oklahoma; her bonus son, Jimmy Dale Billy of Battiest, Oklahoma; special granddaughter, Kiamita Ludlow Lopez of Pittsburg, Oklahoma; twenty-four grandchildren; fifty-one great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the Battiest Cemetery with Brother Barry Gibson and Pastor A.L. Phillips officiating.  Wake Service will be Friday, March 18, 2022, from 3-5 P.M. at Bowser Family Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.  Arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be J.W. Overturf, Jaylon Parnell, Lewis Billy, Jim Dale Billy, Dustin Bean, Loren Little, Miguel Martinez and Sebastian Paredes.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Rick Schutt and all her grandsons.
