Reverend Jerry Cryer

Reverend Jerry Cryer, 82 of Parkersburg, WV died at the Eagle Pointe Nursing and Rehab Center on January 14, 2017. He was born in Dierks, AR on January 1, 1935 and was the son of the late Jimmie and Naomi Williams Cryer. He retired as a minister of the Gulf Palms Assemblies of God church in Houston, TX. He had been active in the Gideons, loved to fish, hunt, model trains and R.C. airplanes. Survivors include this daughter, Carrie Marie (Steve) Brown of Parkersburg, two grandsons, Matthew and James Brown of Parkersburg, a sister, Kathy Henson and a brother, Jim Cryer. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Karen Grant Cryer in 2008 and a sister, Deloris Pruett. Services will be at the Leavitt Funeral Home Parkersburg at 7:00 PM on Thursday, January 19, 2017 with Reverend Brad Puckett officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House in Pittsburgh, PA.
