Emily P. Salinas Obituary
Emily Paige Salinas, 27 of Gurnee, IL was born into eternal life on March 12th, 2022. She was born on February 6th, 1995, in Barrington, IL. She graduated from Warren High school and the University of Missouri (Mizzou) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. She worked as a Senior Specialist, Relationship Events for the Alzheimer's Association. She brought her can-do attitude, strong work ethic, and most importantly, her sense of humor to work every day. She was fully committed to the mission of a world without Alzheimer’s in honor of her grandfather (Daniel Salinas, Sr.). She also worked for both the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Emily lived a short time in Chicago and was an avid Cubs and Bears fan, which showed her resilience and dedication to “believing," Her circle of friends numbered many and crossed all borders. She started a blog, Emilyish: A twenty-something on the journey to self-healing, care, and love. Her hope was that by sharing her experiences she could help others.
Emily is survived by her mother Sonia Flores, Rose Gavin (stepmother), Dan Salinas (father), Marina Salinas (stepmother), Cassie Tamayo (stepsister), her loving grandmothers, Juanita Flores and Carolina Salinas, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
