Marjorie Hult Obituary

Private family services and a Mass of Christian Burial for Marjorie Hult, 93, a resident of Bettendorf, will be held at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Bettendorf. Burial will take place at Davenport Memorial Park. Marjorie went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Friday, March 11, 2022 at the Kahl Home surrounded by her loving family.

Marjorie was born in Keswick, Iowa to Homer and Elizabeth Bender.

She graduated from the former Marycrest College and shared over 59 years of marriage with her husband James Hult.

Marjorie worked as a Medical Technologist at the former Mercy Hospital and later became Head Medical Technologist at the former St. Luke’s Hospital. Marjorie was a member of the Catholic Service Board and a member of St. Margaret’s Circle.

Marjorie was passionate about serving others by preparing turkey salad with her Circle as an annual fundraiser for her church - she always made sure to save some of the famous turkey salad for the kids and grandkids. She also enjoyed volunteering and serving at Cinderella’s Cellar and delivering Meals on Wheels. You could often find Marjorie deep in a book or baking cookies with her grandchildren.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Elizabeth Bender; her husband, James; granddaughter Allyson Rowles; and a grandson, Joshua Hult.

She is survived by her five children: Susan (Bruce) Turner; Sandy (Ron) Lange; Stephanie (Thomas) Hull; David (Janis) Hult; Mary (Greg) Thiel; Grandchildren: Tristi (Corey) King; Travis (Anne) Turner; Shannon

(Wade) Arnold; Denny (Lydia) Lange; Lindsay (Adam) Morley; Ryan (Lindsay) Rolwes; Ali (Chris) Donnelly; Brandon Acaster; Erik (Abigail) Hult; Andrea (Tyler) Maas; Kaleb Hult; Stephanie (Kevin) Bleil; Britany (Zach) Perl; 27 great grandchildren; Sister In-Law: Eloise Hult, along with four very special nephews and their spouses.

The family would like to thank Palmer Hills, The Fountains, The Kahl Home and Genesis Hospice for their love and care for their mom, grandma and great-grandma. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Genesis Hospice.
