Mr. Henry Chesson Jr., of Portsmouth Virginia entered eternal rest on March 2, 2022 in Chesapeake General Hospital, Chesapeake, Virginia. He was born on January 15, 1939 in North Carolina to the late Henry Chesson and the late Lonia H Chesson. He was also preceded in death by family members, Lottie McLee (Joseph McLee), Phill Earl Chesson, LA Chesson Sr. (Gladys H. Chesson), Wyomie Chesson, Melvin Chesson Sr, (Ethel), Delma Chesson (Delores Brooks Chesson), and Pearl Chesson.
Celebration of Life Services will be Saturday, March 19, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Shiloh Church of Christ Disciples of Christ, Roper, North Carolina with Bishop David Gilliam as Eulogist. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery. A public walk-through viewing will be Friday, March 18, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and also Saturday one hour prior to the service. Mask are still required for all services.
Mr. Chesson leaves to cherish his memories; one brother, Worlie Chesson; one sister, Selma Chesson Hardy; four daughters, Jean Chandler (Leon Sr.), Sandra Gilliam, Henrietta Chesson, and Cheryl Bryant; five grandchildren, Adrian Gilliam, Christopher Gilliam, Kristian Jordan, Breyana Wilson, and Sherkale Wilson; five great-grandchildren, Carlton Chandler Jr., Tyla Boya, Kailee Gilliam, Aubree Gilliam, and Cassidy Gilliam and a host of nieces and nephews.
