Barry Lynn Walker Orange Park, Florida Obituary

Barry Lynn Walker

Barry Walker 66 , Barry was born on September 17, 1949, in Columbus, Ohio. He was the son of Francis and Norma Jean Walker. He served in the United States Navy from August 28, 1969 to April 30, 1990, as a MMCS(SS). He proudly served his country doing what he loved.... serving on submarines and seeing the world! He retired from his last duty station in Kittery, Maine and relocated to Florida, but he wasn't finished working! Barry just couldn't stand being called a "civilian" so he relocated again to Orange Park, Florida where he took a job with NEXCOM at NAS Jacksonville. Unfortunately this would be his last job. Barry finally retired for the last time and relocated to be with our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ . He is survived by his wife of 42 years Bonnie, his sister Patricia Mount, his sons Scott (Ajeana), Jason (Christina), his daughter Karen (Allen) and his six grandchildren; Aleaha, Machaela, Casey, Jessica, Jacob, Trinity, niece Cassandra, nephew Jeremy, many cousins and extended family in Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Wayne. A private ceremony with family and friends will take place at Jacksonville National Ceremony on Monday December 21, 2015 at 10am. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his honor to the Wounded Warrior Project. We will ALWAYS love you PaPa and REMEMBER your sense of HUMOR!!!!!!
