FANNING-John Richard Fanning, of Orange Park Florida, passed away December 10, 2016 at age 72 at the Earl B. Hadlow Hospice Center following his ten year courageous battle with cancer. 'JR' as he liked to be called by his friends, was born November 29, 1943 in Saranac Lake, New York to Marcelline and John C. Fanning. JR is survived by his wife of 46 years Harue 'June' Fanning; his daughter Emily Fanning; his sisters Marcelline Lizewskie, Kathleen Talbot, Eileen Fanning; his niece Heidi Miner; his nephews Eric Talbot, Mark Lizewskie and Peter Lizewskie; as well as his many friends. He is predeceased by his daughter Sue Fanning JR served in the United States Navy and was a proud active member of the VFW post#5968 for many years and contributed to many events.
