Obituary
With heartfelt sympathy we announce the earthly transition of Ms. Anqelique Renee Clay Bacop of Gadsden, who traded time for eternity on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at the age of 54.
Angelique Renee Clay was born November 25, 1967 in Gadsden, Etowha County, Alabama, the oldest of three children to Lorraine ( Clay) Hart. Miss Angelique confessed her belief in Jesus Christ at an early age. She joined Friendship Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Edward Radden. She sung in the sunbeam choir and was active in other church activies.
Angelique was educated in public school system of Gadsden ,Alabama and graduated from Gadsden High School Class of 1986. She attended Gadsden State Community College. She was a jack of all trades and did her best at making the best out of a bad situation. She enjoyed cooking soul food, telling jokes, sewing and crocheting.
Angelique traded time for eternity on Sunday, March 6, 2022. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clide and Nina Clay; uncle, Clyde Clay Sr; aunt, Cheryl Ann Boyd . Her love for God and family and friends, allowed her to be embraced by many individuals on her journey through life.
Those left to cherish her memories are three daughters, Vandelia Patrice Bacop, Chelsea Bacop, Cicily Bacop, all of Gadsden, AL; seven grandchildren, Kamron Thomas, LaVontae Bacop, Christopher Jackson, Aleyah Sumpter, Harmony Sumpter, Andre Jemison, Jr. and Amari Bacop; mother, Lorraine (Willard) Hart, Rainbow City, AL; sisters, Monique Hart, Southside, AL and Mia Hart, Rainbow City, AL; a host of other relatives and friends.
