Obituary for Vilma A. Kukulka (1940-2022)
Vilma A. Kukulka, age 81, of King of Prussia, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in East Norriton. Born in Norristown, Vilma was the only child of the late John W. Kontra and the late Anna (nee Toth) Kontra, the devoted wife, for 47 years, of the late Joseph “Sonny” Kukulka, the loving mother of Cynthia Ryen (the late Ronald P.) and the proud grandmother of Jason Ryen. In addition, Vilma is survived by her brothers-in-law, Dennis Kukulka (Sharon) of Coatesville and Richard Kukulka of Swedeland, her aunt, Elaine Toth of Swedeland as well as her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Vilma, a graduate of Upper Merion High School, Class of 1958, was a long-time and devout member of SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church and a homemaker who loved to read and cook. She also enjoyed watching mystery movies and television shows, holiday decorating and making crafts. Her family will always remember her making the wreaths to decorate the family graves each year at Christmastime!
Relatives and Friends are invited to SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 519 Union Ave., Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Monday, March 14, for Vilma’s viewing, which will be held from 9 a.m. until her Divine Liturgy begins at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in SS.
