Melissa “Missey” Marie Flemke 45, of Bristol, CT passed away peacefully on February 19th 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born August 27th, 1976 in Old Saybrook CT the daughter of Edward and Debra Flemke she later settled in Bristol. Missey leaves behind her loving parents and her sisters Cherie (Edward) Bolduc of Winthrop CT and Jennifer (Thomas) Skau of Callahan FL. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews Emilie, James, Elizabeth and Kaitlyn as the fun-loving aunt who always could make them laugh. She will be missed by numerous family members including her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and her many friends. Especially fond of Missey were Tony and Suzanne Reynaud of Harwinton CT. They were often referred to as her second parents who showered her with love and the greatest of care. Crafting, family ancestry and shopping were her passions. She did everything to the fullest of her abilities and as one friend notes to the extreme. Despite her illness, she never gave up hope and was always positive and brought joy and laughter to others. “It’s our time down here” was her motto. She lived every day to the fullest and will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Contributions in her memory may be made to The American Cancer Society.
