Bobby Charles Andrews, age 81, of Wynne passed from this life on Friday, March 4, 2022, at his home. He was born January 18, 1941 to Briles & Myrtle Chambers Andrews. Bobby was a longtime businessman in this community, and served this city with his service station business along with other business ventures later in his life. Bobby served as a captain for the Wynne Fire Department, and had earned his pilot’s license. He is the example of a hard-working man, and he considered it his responsibility to teach his children, grandchildren, and others the value and rewards of working hard by both his words and by example.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jackie Walker Andrews; one daughter, Beth Andrews Clegg and husband, Mike, of Heber Springs; son-in-law, Walter Shaw; brothers, Junior Andrews, Almos Andrews (Marie), Buddy Andrews (Sharon), and Sam Andrews; and one sister, Jewel Andrews Mobley (Dwight). He is also survived by three grandchildren, Matthew Clegg, Kristen Coffman, and Tori Ware; two honorary grandchildren, Lynn Ann Brewington and Teagan Russell; 12 great-grandchildren, Nia, Zach, Olivia, Aleah, Bree, Lexi, Evie, Brooklyn, Wyatt, McKenzie, Waylon, and Hendrix; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Andrews Shaw; brothers, Rolland Andrews, Buck Andrews, Thurman Andrews; and sisters, Joyce Andrews Fullbright, Sybil Andrews Chambers, and Elsie Andrews Gibson.

Bobby was a member of Rolfe Chapel Assembly of God Church. He will be missed by his family, friends, and the members of this community who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2022, in the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Wynne with Rev. Fred Dover and Matthew Clegg officiating. Interment will follow in Harris Chapel Cemetery near Wynne.

Friends may visit at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to service time.

Pallbearers are Jerry Rushing, Scott Brewington, Walker Brewington, Nick Ware, Ronnie Coffman, and James Cansler. Honorary pallbearer is Ricky Walker.
