Jack B. Wunsch, 78, Wausau, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He will be greatly missed.

Jack was born on August 18, 1943 in Milwaukee to Roman and Esther Wunsch.   On June 20, 1970, he married Patricia Ovel and together they had two children, Brian (Jennifer Draper) and Rebecca (Rob) Domrese.  He is further survived by five grandchildren, Kyle and Alex Wunsch, Maya, Averie and Jonah Domrese; one brother, James (Nancy) Wunsch; six sisters, Mary Dumdey, Janet (Chuck) Heisler, Sue Puls, Karen (Roger) Kieper, Laurie Maegli and Julie Pyke; four sisters-in-law, Gail Wunsch, Barbara (Robert) Pfaff, Kathleen (Mike Sewell) Johnson and Ann Ovel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jerry Wunsch; one sister, Pat Heybl; and two brothers-in-law, John Maegli and Dan Ovel.

Jack was a veteran of the United States Navy.  For 43 years, he worked at Marathon Electric Corp. until his retirement at the age of 63.

Jack had many interests, including fishing, camping, trips to the casino and playing cards.  He also loved to watch his childrens sporting events, his grandsons hockey games, baseball games, basketball games and video games and his granddaughters dance, basketball games and “Roblox” video games.

Per Jack’s request no services will be held at this time.  A private family service will be held at a later date.
