Leonard Wallace Obituary

Leonard Wallace 61, transitioned into eternal life on Sunday, February 20, 2022. He was born on November 28, 1961, in Hartford, CT to the late Ola Mae (McGee) and Jeffrey Wallace. Leonard was a lifelong resident of Hartford, CT where he went to school and built a supportive alliance for himself amongst the LGBTQIA community. Leonard worked for several organizations throughout Hartford County, he was lastly employed by Au Bon Pain in St. Francis Hospital where he was loved by coworkers, and he enjoyed meeting new people. 

Those who knew Leonard knows he was well known as Lan; he was a neat freak, had a good work ethic, and always kept a job. Lan was outgoing, funny, and definitely feisty when necessary. He loved music, liked to watch scary movies, eat, and take his daily naps. 

Lan was blessed with a large and loving family. He is survived by ten sisters, Shirley Wallace, Jacquelyn James, Joanne Hampton (husband Jake Newman), Patricia Wallace, Marion (husband Alphonso) Mitchell, Helen Wallace, Brenda Wallace, Bernice Wallace, Renee Wallace, and Jennifer Wallace. Lan is survived by three brothers Eugene (wife Bobbie Jo) Wallace, Jeffrey Wallace, and Timothy Walker. He is predeceased by brother Michael Wallace and nephew Todd Wallace. Lan had a host of nieces and nephews as well as great, and great great nieces & nephews. He had a special relationship with sisters DeeDee, Brenda, Bonnie, Nay and Jennifer, niece Crystal Hampton, and longtime friends Harold Lawson & Stevie Reynolds. Lan will be dearly missed by his loved ones.
