Ernest J. Smith, 37, of Orangeburg, SC departed this life peacefully on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at his residence. Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Funeral Home and are pending at this time. We welcome you to provide your thoughts and memories on our tribute wall.

 

Ernest Jonathan Smith affectionally know to many as “Lil Ernest” was born March 19, 1984 in Orangeburg County, South Carolina to Victoria Ann Smith and Ernest Brown. Ernest attended the Orangeburg County School District. Ernest had a compassion for driving trucks over the roads for about two years until his illness prevented him to go on.
Ernest was a long-time member of One-to-One Ministries Inc. Later he became a part of the fellowship of the Cornerstone Church here in Orangeburg, SC. Ernest always placed others needs before his own. Ernest was well known for being a person of humility and sharing love with everyone he came in contact with.
Ernest departed this life on Thursday, February 24th, 2022. He was proceeded in death by his mother Victoria Ann Smith, his grandmother Essie Mae Smith, grandfather Nathaniel Adams and his uncle Walter Lee Brown.
Ernest leaves to cherish his memories his father Ernest (Charnee) Brown of Chester, PA, grandmothers, Eartha (John) Glover of Orangeburg, and Mary Adams of Swansea, SC, five sisters; Aretha (Antone) Moore of Grovetown, GA, Shanice (Jovan) Jones of Chester, PA, Shaquilla (Kasheem) Brown of Orangeburg, SC, La’Na’yah and Saniyah Brown of Chester, PA, three brothers; Christopher Smith of Orangeburg, SC, Daron Townsend and Tyron Townsend of Chester, PA, nine aunts; Clara Brown of Bronx, NY, Josephine Brown of Orangeburg, SC, Yvonne Smith of Columbia, SC, Sylvia Salley of North, SC, Debra (Nathaniel) Brooks, Jennifer Adams, Ethel (Thomas) Glover, Rosa Mae (James) Livingston all of Swansea, SC, and Temeko Brown of Orangeburg, SC, eight uncles; Willie James Brown, Willie Clay Brown, Sammie Lee Brown all of Orangeburg, SC, Nathaniel Adams Jr. of Swansea, SC, John Franklin Brown of Jacksonville Fl, Clarence (Stephanie) Brown of Chester, PA, David Smith of Bronx, NY, Barry (Sandra) Larry of Lexington, SC, nieces and nephews; Tiana, Treshaun, Taeveon, Tytianna, Aliciyah, Khy’ yanna, Que’Suan, Aminah, La’Quan, Terius and Amad, special friend Ashley Lucas and a host of other relatives, family and friends.
