Barbara Jean Kurrelmeyer Smith "Nanny", 87, of Adamsville, Alabama, beloved wife of Howard Smith, passed away February 24, 2022.
Loving mother of Brenda Woodruff of Cordova, Paula Quattlebaum (Kennenth), and Rebecca Smith both of Adamsville, Alabama and Ronnie Smith (Leigh) of Hoover, Alabama.
Barbara was born March 28, 1934 in Wayne County Nebraska to Edward and Clara Kurrelmeyer.
She is preceded in death by her brother Eddie; and her sisters, Lorraine and Carol.
Barbara is survived by a loving family of four children, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Barbara was a veteran of the US Navy Hospital Corps.
Visitation will be Monday, February 28, 2022, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Crestview Memorial Funeral Home, 5250 Veterans Memorial Drive, Adamsville, Alabama.
Funeral service will be Monday, February 28, 2022, at 11:00 am at Crestview Memorial Funeral Home.
Interment will take place at the Prospect Independent Church Cemetery in Nauvoo, Alabama.
