<p>Julie M. Fehrs Rourke, passed away peacefully on&nbsp;February 18, 2021 from complications from COVID-19, and after a decade of&nbsp;significant health issues and suffering.&nbsp; Julie was born on May 6, 1959 to the late George and Catherine Fehrs in Waterbury, Connecticut</p> <p>Julie was a proud graduate of Notre Dame Academy High School in Waterbury and a strong supporter and advocate for Junior Achievement. Prior to raising her daughter, Julie worked for many years at Colonial Bank, through its many versions, and enjoyed banking and customer service. Proud of her Irish and Italian heritage, Julie loved her family, black Labrador dogs, too much garlic in her&nbsp;cooking, Trivial Pursuit games, gold jewelry, Longaberger baskets, Belleek&nbsp;china and old-fashioned rock-n-roll music.</p> <p>Julie leaves behind her husband Terrance Rourke and her daughter Catherine E. Rourke, both of Watertown, CT. She is also survived by her brothers and their wives, Gregory & Diane Fehrs of Wolcott, CT and Richard & Joy Fehrs of Concord, NH. She is further survived by her nephew Geoffrey Fehrs and his wife Ceilidh Galloway-Kane of East Hardwick, VT and her nephew Benjamin Fehrs of Wolcott, CT.</p> <p>She is predeceased by her son Ryan T. Fehrs and her sister Cynthia Fehrs.</p> <p>Julie&rsquo;s many friends love her and will miss her, particularly the &ldquo;Waterbury crew&rdquo; of Maureen (Melvin) Shea, Jackie Carey D&rsquo;Andrea, Jeanine (Marquis) Hayes and Clare (Elmendorf) Kindall.</p> <p>Julie will be laid to rest at New St. Joseph&rsquo;s cemetery in Waterbury, CT, and the family hopes to hold a celebration of life when it becomes safe to come together in community.</p> <br><br><br><br>
