Cornelius "CC" Haskins

<p>Mr. Cornelius &ldquo;C.C.&rdquo; Haskins was born on December 24, 1939, in Mecklenburg, County, Virginia to the late Anna Brooks and Walter Venable.</p> <p>He was employed with the North Carolina Department of Transportation, Waste Industries, Burlington Industries for several years and General Processors for seventeen years. He later farmed with the Daniels, Adcock&rsquo;s, and Currin&rsquo;s in the Berea Community.</p> <p>He was married to the late Vernell Harris Haskins and to that union five children were born. Later he was married to the late Rebecca Haskins.</p> <p>He is survived by four daughters, Dorothy Bumpass (Edward), Wanda Haskins, Tracy Haskins, and Linda Lewis all of Oxford, North Carolina; one son Michael Haskins (Sherell) of Henderson, North Carolina; two sisters, Shirley Venable and Bobbie Lee Brooks of Red Oak, Virginia; twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Vertilia H. Thorpe; brother-in-law, Elijah &ldquo;Anderson&rdquo; Sidney and a host of other relatives and friends.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by a daughter, Vernell &ldquo;PuPu&rdquo; Haskins, and great granddaughter, Aaliyah Haskins.</p>

Mr. Cornelius “C.C.” Haskins was born on December 24, 1939, in Mecklenburg, County, Virginia to the late Anna Brooks and Walter Venable.

He was employed with the North Carolina Department of Transportation, Waste Industries, Burlington Industries for several years and General Processors for seventeen years. He later farmed with the Daniels, Adcock’s, and Currin’s in the Berea Community.

He was married to the late Vernell Harris Haskins and to that union five children were born. Later he was married to the late Rebecca Haskins.
