<p>Randal Collins McClendon, 48, died unexpectedly on February 9, 2022, in Sacramento, following a lengthy illness and hospitalization.&nbsp; His funeral service will be held at St. Robert Catholic Church in Sacramento, on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a luncheon at Maggie&rsquo;s Table at Casa Garden.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Randy was born in Sacramento on March 26, 1973, to Rick McClendon and Kathleen Wykoff.&nbsp; During his childhood, he lived in Loomis, Crescent City, and Wheatland.&nbsp; He graduated from Wheatland High School in 1991.&nbsp; From there, he attended Yuba College where he earned admission to the prestigious University of Virginia.&nbsp; After receiving his bachelor&#39;s degree in 1995, he attended McGeorge School of Law, graduating in 1998.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Randy married Terri McFarland in 2002.&nbsp; They had their sons Ian and Drew in 2004 and 2006.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Randy worked as a workers&rsquo; compensation defense attorney until his death.&nbsp; He was a shareholder in the firm of Cuneo, Black, Ward, and Missler.&nbsp; Because of his friendly, easy way of making conversation and his unique sense of humor, he will be missed dearly by his firm, clients, and opponents alike.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Randy grew up loving music and sports.&nbsp; He attended many Grateful Dead shows during high school and college, and later the reunion tour, Fare Thee Well, in 2015, and Dead &amp; Company.&nbsp; As a child, Randy enjoyed watching 49er football with his beloved grandfather, Royal Wykoff.&nbsp; As a sports fan, he became most passionate about UVA basketball, and shared this passion with his sons.&nbsp; Go Hoos!</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Randy is survived by Terri, Ian, and Drew; his father, Rick McClendon and wife Kay; sister Ann Rosenbaum and her husband Mark; brother Eric McClendon and wife Lindsey; his parents-in-law, Pat &amp; Sherry McFarland; sister-in-law, Erin Clifton and her husband McShane; nieces Sela, Lucy, and Sadie; nephews Colt and Cruz; and aunt Janet Russell and her husband Mike,</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, and uncle Barney McClendon.</p> <p>&ldquo;Randy&rsquo;s family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love and support. Randal Collins McClendon, 48, died unexpectedly on February 9, 2022, in Sacramento, following a lengthy illness and hospitalization.  His funeral service will be held at St. Robert Catholic Church in Sacramento, on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a luncheon at Maggie’s Table at Casa Garden.

 

Randy was born in Sacramento on March 26, 1973, to Rick McClendon and Kathleen Wykoff.  During his childhood, he lived in Loomis, Crescent City, and Wheatland.  He graduated from Wheatland High School in 1991.  From there, he attended Yuba College where he earned admission to the prestigious University of Virginia.  After receiving his bachelor's degree in 1995, he attended McGeorge School of Law, graduating in 1998.

 

Randy married Terri McFarland in 2002.  They had their sons Ian and Drew in 2004 and 2006.

 

Randy worked as a workers’ compensation defense attorney until his death.  He was a shareholder in the firm of Cuneo, Black, Ward, and Missler.  Because of his friendly, easy way of making conversation and his unique sense of humor, he will be missed dearly by his firm, clients, and opponents alike.
