Cynthia S. Sutton July 20, 1946 - January 22, 2017 Goldsboro-Cynthia "Cindy" Seymour Sutton, 70, of Goldsboro, peacefully passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017. Cynthia was the daughter of Ola Mae Anderson Seymour and the late Edward Earl Seymour. Fiercely independent, Cindy retired from the NC Department Of Corrections. While serving with the Department Of Corrections, Cindy was most proud of earning the distinction of "sharpshooter" during weapons qualification training. Her most significant role in life and what she did best was being a loving mother, grandmother and best friend to her family and circle of close friends. Her grandchildren brought endless bundles of happiness into her life and she relished her role as "Nanny" to them. Cindy loved watching and collecting memorabilia from "Gone With The Wind". A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 11 a.m. from Rouse Funeral Home with Pastor Gerald Fowler officiating. In addition to her mother, Cindy is survived by her son, Jay Sutton and wife, Vickie; two precious grandchildren, Katie & J.W. Sutton; and three siblings, Edna Williamson and husband, Johnny, David Seymour and wife, Wilma, and Beth Gray and husband, Jerry. Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home and at other times they will be at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Johnny Williamson, 110 Club Road, La Grange.
