<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;<span style="font-size:14px;"><strong> &nbsp;Randy Karl Heimann, 80, of Lorain passed away on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2022 at Mercy New Life Hospice Center following a long illness.<br /> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Mr. Heimann was born in Lorain on January 18, 1942, the&nbsp; son of the late Ralph W. and June (nee Pullin) Heimann. He was a graduate of Loran High School in the class of 1960.<br /> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;He served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1964.&nbsp;<br /> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;He was a retired air traffic controller for 14 years and a journeyman electrician with IBEW. For more than 30 years, Randy and his wife owned and operated the R.A.P. Company, a local confectionary store, in Lorain.&nbsp; They enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley and going to casinos. They also enjoyed seeing friends at the former Emerald Valley Bar.&nbsp;<br /> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;He was a member of the IAV, American Legion and the Knights of Columbus.<br /> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;He enjoyed woodworking, playing cornhole and spending time with his grandchildren.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Randy is&nbsp; survived by two daughters, Melissa K. Dovala of Marysville, Christina L. Heimann of Elyria, grandchildren: Joey Heimann, Justin Dovala and Hayley Dovala.<br /> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret &quot;Petey&quot; (nee Linkous) Heimann, in 2020 and a brother Gary Heimann.<br /> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Friends may call on Thursday, February 24, 2022 beginning at 5:00 p.m. and concluding with prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer &amp; Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.<br /> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to Mercy New Life Hospice, 3500 Kolbe Road, Lorain, Ohio&nbsp; 44053.&nbsp;<br /> &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></span></p>
