Randy K. Heimann
<p> <span style="font-size:14px;"><strong> Randy Karl Heimann, 80, of Lorain passed away on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2022 at Mercy New Life Hospice Center following a long illness.<br /> Mr. Heimann was born in Lorain on January 18, 1942, the son of the late Ralph W. and June (nee Pullin) Heimann. He was a graduate of Loran High School in the class of 1960.<br /> He served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1964. <br /> He was a retired air traffic controller for 14 years and a journeyman electrician with IBEW. For more than 30 years, Randy and his wife owned and operated the R.A.P. Company, a local confectionary store, in Lorain. They enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley and going to casinos. They also enjoyed seeing friends at the former Emerald Valley Bar. <br /> He was a member of the IAV, American Legion and the Knights of Columbus.<br /> He enjoyed woodworking, playing cornhole and spending time with his grandchildren. <br /> Randy is survived by two daughters, Melissa K. Dovala of Marysville, Christina L. Heimann of Elyria, grandchildren: Joey Heimann, Justin Dovala and Hayley Dovala.<br /> In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret "Petey" (nee Linkous) Heimann, in 2020 and a brother Gary Heimann.<br /> Friends may call on Thursday, February 24, 2022 beginning at 5:00 p.m. and concluding with prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.<br /> The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to Mercy New Life Hospice, 3500 Kolbe Road, Lorain, Ohio 44053. <br /> </strong></span></p>January 18, 1942 - February 20, 202201/18/194202/20/2022

I went to school with Randy at Fairhome, Longfellow, and Lorain High School. He was a great kid. RIP and condolences to his family.
