Tayler James Fuchs, 24, of Martin, SD, made his spiritual journey to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Bennett County Hospital.

Tayler was born May 10, 1997, to Bob and Kim Fuchs of Martin, SD. Tayler was involved in Scouts from the ages of 6 to 10 years old. Tayler joined the Martin Volunteer Fire Department his freshman year of high school, eager to make a difference in the community. Tayler enjoyed his several years working with Lacreek Development. He enjoyed it so much that he later became a certified concrete tester.

Outside of his work, Tayler enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, gaming with his friends, and spending hours playing card games with his family.

Tayler was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, uncle, and friend. His smile and laugh would bring joy to any room.

Tayler was preceded in his death by his grandparents Richard and Anna Fuchs, great-grandmother Vesta Soderlin and his great-grandfather Dale Marrs.

He is survived by his parents Bob and Kim Fuchs, brother Bryce (Chelsea) Fuchs, nephew Liam Fuchs, grandparents Rod and Dianna Anderson and Terry and Sherri Marrs, great-grandmothers Charlotte Anderson and Bonnie Marrs and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Vigil Service will be Thursday February 24, 2022, 7:00 PM at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Martin, SD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 25, 2022, 10:00 AM. Burial will be held in the Martin Community Cemetery.

All memorial funds will be donated to Tayler’s Brothers and Sisters of the Martin Volunteer Fire Department.

Bennett County Funeral Service of Martin is in charge of arrangements.
