Mary Eileen Summers, 72, of Clementsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late James Covis “Cobe” Goode and Evelyn Edith Wethington Goode, was born March 7th, 1949, in Campbellsville, Kentucky, and departed this life Saturday, February 19th, 2022, at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Kentucky.
She professed her faith in Christ and was of Catholic belief and a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. Eileen worked as a pharmacy technician at Rite Aid. She was also a cook and waitress at Betty’s Café in Clementsville. She was a CPA receptionist of Kerbaugh, Rodes, and Bulter of Danville for 10 years. She was proud to be a part of The Pork Producers of Casey County, along with her husband, Ronnie Summers for many years. She was an active member of the Wednesday Lady’s Luncheon and St. Bernard’s Quilting Ladies. Eileen was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.
Eileen united in marriage to Ronnie Summers on June 17th, 1967, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, who preceded her in death on March 31st, 2020.
Eileen is survived by:
Four sons: Craig Summers and his wife, Jennifer, of Campbellsville; Marshall Summers of Clementsville; Jayme Summers and his wife, Gloria, of Clementsville; and Darren Summers of Clementsville.
Seven grandchildren: Miranda Dean and her husband, Jacob, of Liberty; Chelsey Milby and her husband, Blake, of Campbellsville; Ronnie Summers and his wife, Hannah, of Clementsville; Zachary Dale Grider and Kayla, of Mannsville; Presley Summers of Campbellsville, Dalton Summers of Clementsville, Patrick “PJ” Summers of Clementsville.
Eight great-grandchildren: Hadley Summers of Hart County; Marley Skinner of Campbellsville; Jason and Connor Kane of Mannsville; Remi and Zoey Summers of Clementsville; Autumn Grider of Mannsville; and Nova Milby of Campbellsville.
Three sisters: Sue Ann Goode, Betty Goode Wethington, and Patty Goode Clements and John Clements, all Clementsville.
Two brothers: Jim Goode and his wife, Brenda, of Campbellsville and Dave Goode and his wife, Jennifer, of Russell Springs.
Three sister-in-laws: Gayle Renner of Louisville; Kathy Hatchett and her husband, Joe, of Louisville; and Katie York and her husband, Tony, of Liberty.
Along with many other family and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, Eileen is preceded in death by one beloved grandson, Zach Summers, 2017, and one sister, Kathy Goode, 2020.
VISITATION: Tuesday, February 22, 2022, from 5pm – 8pm EST and Wednesday, February 23, 2022, 7-10 A.M. at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville. Prayer service at 7pm EST.
MASS: Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022, at 11am EST at St. Bernard’s Church in Clementsville.
Father George Otuma will be officiating the service.
Burial to follow at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Clementsville.
Pallbearers: Jim Goode, David Goode, Ronnie Summers, Zach Grider, Dalton Summers, and Patrick “PJ” Summers.
Honorary pallbearers: Chelsey Milby, Miranda Dean, and Presley Summers.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for expressions of sympathy be taken in form of donations toward Zach Summers Memorial Scholarship or St. Bernard Catholic Church and donations can be made at the funeral home.
