Dean Paul Simonsen, age 75, passed away February 19, 2022. He was born on August 11, 1946 to the late Quinton and Irene Simonsen. He was also preceded in death by his sister Rebecca Odden. He is survived by his sons, Paul (Terry-Ann) Simonsen, and John (Denise) Simonsen; grandchildren, Kaylee, Tyler, and Matthew.
Dean always had a passion for working on engines. Even in high school, he would love to work on his parents cars and learn all he could about mechanical repair. After graduation, Dean enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served for over 23 years. During his time in the service he was able to work on much larger machinery and became a heavy equipment mechanic, a career he had until he retired. He loved to spend his downtime watching NASCAR, loved talking about cars, fishing with his sons, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be forever known as a caring, selfless man who would gladly help anyone in their time of need.
A visitation to honor Dean’s life will be on Thursday February 24, 2022 from 4-7 pm at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, White House. Military honors will be at the funeral home at 4pm.
