Obituary
Elinor Louise Suddarth, age 87, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022, in Sun City, Arizona. Elinor Louise Wolf was born on September 26, 1934, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the daughter of Charles and Alta Wolf. She is survived by her brother, Howard Wolf, and sister, Miriam Phillips. She married Donald R. Suddarth on June 19, 1953, and they were married for 61 years. He predeceased her in January 2015. She was a graduate of Southwest High School. She did her undergraduate work towards a degree in Elementary Education at Beloit College, in Beloit, Wisconsin, and graduated at UMKC. Don and Elinor had four children, CL Farris, Gregg, Dean, (deceased in 1999), and Nancy. The oldest three attended The Barstow School, the Classes of 74, 75, and 77 respectively. Elinor was the kindergarten teacher at Barstow, during that time. Don and Elinor had four grandchildren; Benjamin, Daniel, Andrea, and Samuel. There is also a great grandchild named Thora, age 3. Elinor was a lifetime member of the Delta Gamma sorority. She and Don were members of Colonial Presbyterian Church in Kansas City, until they moved to Sun City West, in 1995. Then she and Don became members of The Grace Community Church in Surprise, AZ. Elinor is best remembered for her skill as a pianist, being a fierce bridge player, and an avid bird watcher. Elinor also belonged to the Red Hat Society. Her family remembers her as a talented seamstress and has many keepsake items that she's made over the years. Services will be on March 12, 2022, at 2:30 pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Sun City, Arizona, 12225 N.103rd Ave., 85351. CL Farris will not be able to be in attendance due to torn meniscus knee issues. Your prayers for the family would be greatly appreciated.
