Christopher Barnes, 45 of Sneads Ferry, NC unexpectedly passed away on February 15, 2022. He was born on August 31, 1976 in San Angelo, TX to the parents of Benjamin Barnes and Rhonda J. Barnes. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 19 at 5:00pm at Jones Funeral Home in Holly Ridge. The family will receive friends from 4:00pm to 4:44pm at the funeral home.

He attended UNCW, where he met the love of his life Tara Barnes. He graduated from Full Sail University in Orlando, FL with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sound Engineering. He loved music. He was a chef, baker and the owner of Christopher’s Restaurant in Sneads Ferry and Hampstead. He also had the Sneaky Freaky Bake Shop in Sneads Ferry, NC.

Survivors include his wife, Tara P Barnes; his gift from God Daughter, Brianna T Barnes; his parents, Benjamin L Barnes and Rhonda J Barnes; brother, Benjamin Lewis Barnes II and wife Courtnie; nephew, Benjamin L Barnes III; nieces, Bridgette B Ruehle and husband Josh Ruehle, Morgan Babb and husband Josh Babb, and Haley Barnes; great-nephew, Jackson Ruehle; great-nieces, Evangaline Barnes and Cici Ruehle.
