Frank Martinez Guerra, 72, of Hamlin, Texas unexpectedly passed away on February 2, in his home. Frank was born November 14, 1949 in Mathis, Texas to the late Josephine and Ponciano Guerra.  They moved to Hamlin in 1958 and he graduated from Hamlin High School in 1968.  He then attended Cisco Jr. College getting a degree in Business and McMurry University getting a Bachelors in Banking and Finance. He worked at First National Bank of Abilene as a loan officer in 1973 for many years.  

He always had a love for life and music.  He began playing his 6 string guitar, in a band called Los Mirasoles in the late 70's.  He was a teacher to many and throughout the years played at many parties, weddings, and funerals in the big country area.  He loved playing his guitar, whether it was in front of a crowd or at home by himself. He loved his family dearly. He liked to joke around and make people laugh. He always wanted everyone to enjoy themselves in his company.  He enjoyed BBQing with family and friends so they could come together to sing and play music. He had a big heart and would help anyone in need.  

Frank was preceded in death by Ponciano Guerra Jr. (Brother), Joesphine Guerra (Mom), Ponciano Guerra Sr. (Dad), and Oscar Guerra (Brother).  

Survivors are one daughter Francine Guerra from Abilene, two sons Nathan Guerra, and Frank Anthony Guerra (Nicole) both from Hamlin; six grandchildren, Desirae Young (Raymond) of Tahoka, Dorian Barrientes (Destiny) of Abilene, Dominic, Elani, Elissa Flores and Elijah Guerra of Abilene; five great-grandchildren and one that will soon join the family.

Memorial Service will be Saturday February 19th at 12 p.m. at Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home in Hamlin, Tx followed by graveside services at Hamlin Cemetery beginning at 2 p.m.
