Barbara Ann Tozier-Robbins Obituary

Fitchburg-Barbara Ann (Milligan) Tozier-Robbins, 78, died in Heywood Hospital, Gardner on Monday, February 7, 2022, with her loving family by her side.

Barbara was born in Moncks Corner, SC on September 5, 1943, daughter of the late Carriebell Milligan and Wally Fennick. She was the beloved wife of Paul Alvin Robinson, Sr., sharing 23 wonderful years, having married on March 30, 2016.

Before settling in Fitchburg in 1997, Barbara enjoyed various Army postings stateside and abroad, most notably in Fort Sill, OK, Fort Devens, MA and Fort Eustis, VA. She proudly served over 20 years in the United States Army from 1977 to 1997 as an x-ray specialist. She was known for her great love of her children that extended to all that she encountered. Barbara had a tremendous heart and loving spirit that called her to open her arms and home to many. She dedicated herself to the children so they could have a joyous life. She was known for serving people, reaching out to the lost, and being an advocate for all children. She always had a sense of hope no matter the prediction. Barbara Ann encouraged love, forgiveness and faith. In her spare time, she loved to shop, garden, travel and particularly cherished time spent with all her beloved children and grandchildren. Barbara Ann had an affinity for fine handbags and clothes, and her statement jewelry. You could always catch her with a Coke, a snickers bar, a can of boiled peanuts and although allergic, she loved shrimp!

In addition to her husband Paul, Barbara is survived by her two sons, Michael Milligan and Jayquawn Tozier-Robbins both of Fitchburg, MA; five daughters, Marcie Leigh Dyer and her husband, Pastor Douglas Dyer, Jr. of Fitchburg, MA, Dina Norman of San Antonio, TX, Miranda Tozier-Robbins, Amber Tozier-Robbins, and Crystal Tozier-Robbins all of Fitchburg, MA; shared children of Paul Robinson, Sr., sons, Paul Robinson Jr., and his wife, Rhonda Robinson and Kevin “Skully” Good, and daughters, Tiffani Robinson, Timna Robinson and her husband, Mark Richardson and Tricia Robinson all of MA; 21 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and one niece, Carrie Rivers. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother Hyman “Herman” Milligan.

Following cremation, a committal service with full military honors will be held in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA 01475 on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 2:00PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to Restoration Recovery Center, 40 Fairmount Street, Fitchburg, MA 01420.

The Smith-Mallahy-Masciarelli and the Fitchburg Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 243 Water Street, Fitchburg, MA has been entrusted with the care of Barbara’s funeral arrangements.
